Faculty Governance in Notre Dame Athletics

The Faculty Board on Athletics (Board) is the principal advisory group to the president on educational issues related to intercollegiate athletics. Its governing documents include:

Academic Articles: Sets forth the Board's composition and mandate.

Statement of Principles on Intercollegiate Athletics: Outlines the principles that guide Notre Dame’s participation in intercollegiate athletics, as well as the structures and policies that support those principles.

Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines: Contains the policies, procedures, and guidelines that animate the Board's work, including on scheduling and related matters; student eligibility and student life; appeals; and internal procedures and practices.
